Free Half Day Seminar (1pm to 3.30pm)
The seminar event will be a short presentation on the key features and messages on the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act 1998 followed with a small group learning circle discussion which will enable participants to interact between themselves and the facilitators to explore the general implications of the Acts and how the Acts affects the work of the public and third sectors

Equality Bill and Human Rights Act
• Understanding and definitions
• Impact on public policy
• Who it affects, public, private and third sector
• Role of the EHRC
• Relationship between the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act
Outcome
• Have greater knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act
• Apply the Human Rights Act to the workplace to increase good community relations
• Learn new skills to tackle multi-level discrimination and how this will increase better relations between
different communities
